Our History — The Church Where Freedom Reigns
Founded in faith, rooted in service, and growing in grace — the story of Liberty Church of God in Christ is one of enduring commitment to God's people in Milwaukee.
Our Heritage
Liberty Church of God in Christ has stood as a beacon of hope and freedom in the Milwaukee community for generations. As part of the Church of God in Christ — one of the largest Pentecostal denominations in the world — we carry forward a rich legacy of Spirit-filled worship, steadfast prayer, and tireless service.
From our founding, under the leadership of our Pastor, Elder J.H. Flippin Sr. & Mother M.B. Flippin, Liberty has been a place where the lost find direction, the broken find healing, and the weary find rest. Our doors have remained open to all who seek the transforming love of Jesus Christ.
Our Mission
We exist to make disciples, build up families, and serve our community with the love of Christ. Through worship, education, and outreach, we seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus on Milwaukee's West Side — and beyond.
Our Core Values
Faith
We stand firmly on the Word of God, trusting His promises in every season of life.
Freedom
Christ came to set the captive free. We are the church where freedom reigns.
Fellowship
We walk together as a family — bearing one another's burdens and celebrating every victory.
Service
With servant hearts, we reach out to our community through outreach, prayer, and love.
Guided by Faithful Shepherds
At Liberty, our leadership is dedicated to nurturing a community where all can flourish in faith.
